Broxtowe Club in the English east midlands hosted the British Regional Championships (BRC) on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of September. After a much rain affected 2012 national series the final round was a welcome dry meeting. The clubs compact all weather Astroturf track was extended especially for the meeting to include a grass section of the adjoining field, to extend the track for national level competition.

The format of the meeting is based on the successful BRCA national series events with four rounds of qualifying followed by finals. Unlike a regular national the event is split into four categories; Junior under 13, Junior under 16, Veteran over 40 and the BRC class open to all ages.

In the under 13’s class Jack Hirst qualified his Durango DEX210 in second place for the class A-final and converted this into a podium position. Connor Cocker qualified his DEX210 third overall in the under 16’s and after some great racing in the finals went on to take the class win!
