Sugar spread on the track pre-watering to create more grip
Team Durango pro team drivers are settling in at the 2013 Cactus Classic. The track crew have been dusting the dirt track with large amounts of sugar in an attempt to increase the grip levels experienced by the racers. This new technique had been field tested prior to the event and our drivers have reported that after the track was watered the grip was fantastic. This track revision has opened up a wonderful opportunity for Team Durango to begin practice with the DEX210 running in our famous mid-motor configuration.

Pro drivers show off their Team Durango race vehicles - What a collection of cars!
Prior to this event we had discussed that fielding a full range of class entries would be the greatest benefit with regards potential results, and also the opportunity to continue our strict development regime under full race conditions. Team Durango are very proud to have our full range of 10th scale off-road vehicles on display at this prestigious event.

Neumann takes to the tools - Our racers have been working hard on making sure they have every race situation fully covered
Team Durango pro drivers are super dedicated when it comes to the preperation of their equipment for such high profile race meetings. No screw is left unchecked, no set-up is left unchecked. At this level of world-class competition races can be won and lost at the pit table.

Ryan Lutz lines up his weapons - Team Durango are prepared for anything that Cactus may throw at them...and then some
We are very excited about working alongside our colleagues from the USA. Ryan Lutz, Carson Wernimont and Travis Amezcua have welcomed our other international racers with open arms. At Team Durango we strongly believe in support and partnership. Cactus Classic will see our team focusing on this value as they race to win.

Travis always races aggressive looking vehicles - His DEX210 looks ready for action in mid-motor configuration
Grip, Grip and more grip. Our pro drivers are finding that open practice for the 2WD buggy class has given them a surprise. Scottsdale RC Raceway have increased the grip so much that mid-motor DEX210 lay-out is on the dirt track as we speak! Our drivers have reported that the DEX410v3 was very quick during practice laps, we love how versatile our 10th scale 4WD always proves to be.

Carson gives us his approval through the mirror! - Team Durango share their hotel with off-road cars...of course
Stay tuned over the next few days for the unfolding action. Team Durango are committed to bringing our fans just what you all love. Professional competition that oozes with our philosophy…we are ‘Serious About Racing’.
