National 2WD Short Course Champion Joins Team Durango

Jamie and Tommy Hall have recently set a new standard that will inspire all young  off-road racers. Jamie was recently crowned the 2013 Junior 2WD Short Course Champion, with his younger brother Tommy also finishing high in the season rankings. Both young racers also concluded their 2013 Short Course season by finishing in the top ten of the overall BRCA National series, right next to the adult competitors! This will be the third BRCA title that Jamie has won over as many years.

We are extremely excited to announce that Jamie Hall will now be joining our UK racing team, bringing another champion into the Team Durango family. Tommy Hall will also be joining the team, as we look forward to supporting these two young racers over the next action packed season of racing.

Jamie and Tommy are already a great example of the future of off-road racing, and a quick look into their family heritage shows us that their Mother was a National full-scale dirt oval champion. Their Father was involved in full-scale auto-cross for many years also. The Hall family are definitely ‘Serious About Racing’, and we welcome them to the team.

Team Durango New Zealand – ‘Serious About Racing’

Team Durango New Zealand, headed by long-time supporter and off-road super star Shane O’Connor, have recently returned from the New Zealand North Island Champs victorious.

Shane was racing on fast form during this very popular multi-class off-road racing event. He was representing Team Durango in 2WD Buggy, 2WD Short Course and 4WD Short Course, as well as supporting the throngs of excited Team Durango fans who had chosen our vehicles to do battle at the prestigious event. With four days of intense competition completed, Shane was extremely happy to come home with an overall TQ in 2WD Buggy, 2WD Short Course and 4WD Short Course!

Not a racer to settle with anything but total victory, Shane then powered home for an overall first in 2WD Buggy and 4WD Short Course to stamp the Team Durango livery across the time sheets in style.

Shane drove the DEX210, DESC210R and DESC410v2 during the event and was able to show his dedication to the brand that is ‘Serious About Racing’ by beating a vast field of local talent, many of whom had also opted to utilise the world-class precision engineered products from Team Durango.

Avid Team Durango fan Angus Mcleod came overall first in 2WD Short Course with his DESC210R. Kelly Churchill was the highest placed female racer at the event, choosing Team Durango Race Ready RTR vehicles to put her straight into the top 20 listing in what was only her fourth ever race meeting since joining the hobby a short while ago!

Shane was really happy to also report that the DEX410v3 was fast at the Counties RC venue in Auckland. Taking four of the top ten positions in 4WD Buggy, the DEX410v3 found the dry dirt track surface easy to navigate for final positions of  second, third and fourth overall.

With 166 racers battling for off-road supremacy, it was Shane O’Connor and Team Durango New Zealand who dominated all race classes. Team Durango New Zealand are clearly ‘Serious About Racing’.
