UK Short Course National Win – Jamie Hall Victory

Team Durango Powers The Win

Young Team Durango UK team driver, Jamie Hall, has recently returned from the third round of the UK Short Course Nationals with a victory for Team Durango.

The host track was Telford Model Car Club, based in the West Midlands of the UK, a venue that Jamie and his younger brother Tommy have enjoyed for the last few seasons.

Racing his DESC210 to a solid first place finish against an experienced field of Truck stars, Jamie was really happy to bring home the victory for Team Durango.

Tommy Hall was happy to back-up his brother, by also finishing in the top ten ‘A’ Main, and when you consider that these young guys are still at school, their racing success is all the more inspirational.

Jamie and Tommy continue to enjoy racing Team Durango products and we send our congratulations to them both for a great Short Course result.

Special thanks go to the boy’s parents, who are incredibly;y supportive of their two young race fans.

Team Durango UK racers Daniel Austin and Andy Wesson have recently returned from the final round of the Broxtowe Snowman Winter Series in the UK. Their championship finishing positions being first and second overall with the DEX410v4 in the 4WD Buggy class.

Broxtowe host a season-long off-road race series every year that is heavily attended by some of the regions fastest racing talent. The outdoor Astroturf track is known to be a difficult surface to master, but Daniel and Andy found no such issues, as they locked out the top two podium spots for Team Durango.

Short Course is a popular class during the Broxtowe winter campaign, and John Brook was happy to secure first overall with his DESC210, in a Truck final that saw the top five vehicles being the DESC210.

The Team Durango 2WD and 4WD Short Course range have recently found huge success in Finland at the first round of their Short Course Winter Cup.

The LRP Arena near Turku hosted an action packed meeting that witnessed what we think may be a new Team Durango record. The ‘A’ main finals across both 2WD and 4WD saw a total of 12 Team Durango Short Course Trucks racing from the total 20 finalists!

The DESC210R claimed four of the ‘A’ main final positions with Mikko Laitinen taking second overall. Tommi Tervo took third spot with Mikko Mäkelä finishing fourth overall.

In 4WD it was to be a really great day of racing for those drivers who chose the precision manufactured DESC410v2. With eight of the ‘A’ main finalists driving Team Durango Trucks, it was Tomi Salonen who flew to first overall, followed by Max Söderlund who placed third,  Eeli Vieno who finished fourth and yet another DESC410v2 in fifth, piloted by Tom Thusberg.

Not only did our friends in Finland show how popular Team Durango Short Course Trucks are, they also showed how one manufacturer can help ignite a whole racing class when the product is fast in the hands of all ages and abilities.

We send our congratulations to our dedicated supporters over in Finland, and send sincere thanks to everybody who contributed to such a fun and exciting first round of the Short Course Winter Cup.
