Ryan Lutz Triple Win & Triple TQ – Motorama 2014

Lutz Sweeps Three Classes – 36th Annual Motorama

Team Durango are very excited to share the news of a clean sweep for Ryan Lutz at the 2014 Motorama event in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, USA.

Eletric 1/8 Buggy, win. Electric 1/8 Truggy, win. Electric 1/10 Short Course, you guessed it, win.

Ryan battled through three classes of hot paced action, with a huge attendance of RC’s fastest racers making it to the event, 700 in total, despite the heavy snow fall over the past few weeks across the mid-west and east coast.

Ryan came home with TQ honours and first overall with his DEX408v2, DEX408T and DESC410v2 vehicles. He raced  a total of nine rounds of qualifying across his chosen classes, and he TQd eight of them!

To add to this awesome set of results, Ryan was able to win his E-Buggy ‘A’ main final by 10 seconds, stating that his DEX408v2 was dialed from the first run. The Lutzinator was truly victorious with Team Durango.

Big lights, big track, big wins

Considering Ryan had experienced two cancelled flights due to the snow storms prior to this event, he once again showed his professional composure. We send our sincere thanks and congratulations to Ryan for his triple win, triple TQ and his 10 second leading win. What a great weekend for us all.

Merry Christmas from all of us here at Team Durango HQ.

2013 has been an awesome year for us, and we would like to send our thanks to each and every one of you. With a great selection of results for our team drivers, the launch of our new 1/10 4WD Buggy, the DEX410v4, and the upcoming release of our first Touring Car project, 2013 will be remembered for many exciting reasons.

The 2013 IFMAR Worlds saw Team Durango Pro team star Jörn Neumann return with a 4WD TQ finish, having already taken the 2013 EFRA European Championship 2WD title with his DEX210 a few months prior.

Our resident Touring Car pro team of Elliott Harper and Michal Orlowski found great success during early race testing of the soon to be released DETC410. Elliott finished third overall at the EFRA European Touring Car Championships, having already taken several prestigious victories in the UK, at the BRCA British Touring Car National Series.

Team Durango USA pro racers Travis Amezcua and Ryan Lutz continued to dominate Regional and National off-road competition across both 1/8 and 1/10 electric and nitro race classes, with Ryan Lutz taking the newly released DEX408T to an exciting ROAR Nationals title on one of his first outings with the vehicle. Both drivers returned from the 2013 IFMAR Worlds with top 10 finishes in 1/10 4WD Buggy.

Ryan Lutz was a multi-class champion during his 2013 racing campaign with Team Durango

Travis Amezcua’s DEX210 during the 2013 Cactus Classic – Travis was the Chi Town Shootout Champion in 2WD and 4WD during 2013

Team Durango European team drivers also took our brand into new and exciting realms, with the likes of Czech star Kaja Novotny and Portuguese ace Nuno Roque winning a host of high-profile race meetings during 2013.

French off-road Team Durango driver Antoinne Rossetti continued to podium finish everything he entered, with long-time team member Hupo Hönigl also securing several prestigious race titles to add to an awesome year of global race results.

Overall, 2013 was an inspiration to us all. As we look forward to another action packed year in 2014, we send our sincere thanks to our team drivers, media partners, staff, customers, stockists, fans and supporters.

We just couldn’t be Team Durango without all of you.
