Novotny Double Victory – Czech Open Challenge

Double Victory – Kaja Continues His Onslaught

Czech Team Durango racing star, Kaja Novotny, has concluded his recent trip to the fourth round of the Open Challenge, with a double victory, including two TQ finishes.

Kaja raced in three classes, testing his consistently fast track pace against over 200 fellow racers. His DEX410v4 gave him a straight sweep on qualifying, also posting the fastest lap on his way to the front of the grid in the ‘A’ Main final.

Storming to an overall first place finish, more than a lap ahead of the battling competition, Kaja commented that his DEX410v4 performed “perfectly” throughout the day.

Kaja continued this consistent performance by also dominating 1/8 E-Buggy qualifying, securing an overall TQ and overall first place finish with his DEX408v2.

Having only recently started to race his DETC410 Touring Car, Kaja was able to conclude this competitive class with a very solid fifth overall. Not bad for a racer who specialises in off-road racing classes. Kaja was keen to state that his DETC410 is very easy to drive, allowing him to focus on developing a unique driving style for the class.

Close friend of the Novotny family and new Team Durango cohort, Klara Kalvodova, was once again to prove her solid pace by winning the Hobby class with her DEX410v4. This young lady is already showing how adaptable Team Durango vehicles are, regardless of a racers experience levels.

We send sincere thanks to Kaja, his father Karel and of course our new family member Klara. Congratulations to you all.
