Novotny Triple Victory – 2015 Opens in Style

Lestr Cup Round Three – Novotny is Triple Winner

2WD Buggy – Winner and overall TQ – Kaja Novotny – DEX210v2

4WD Buggy – Winner and overall TQ – Kaja Novotny – DEX410v4

Short Course Truck – Winner and overall TQ – Kaja Novotny – DESC410v2

Czech Team Durango off-road star, Kaja Novotny, has returned from the third round of the Lestr Cup with a triple class win, including three TQ finishes and three fastest laps.

With Kaja already having a strong reputation for winning multiple classes in one race event, it was no surprise to see the young star dominating qualifying in 2WD and 4WD Buggy. Kaja was happy to secure overall TQ with his DEX210v2, switching to his DEX410v4 in 4WD to repeat this super-fast performance.

Kaja stamped his winning ways on both Buggy finals by winning the ‘A’ main finals in both classes! posting two fastest laps in the process.

Not content with an already great double result, Kaja set his sights on securing an overall TQ in the Short Course class qualifying rounds, adding the overall win to complete his triple first place results for Team Durango.

The event was also made an even more satisfying trip for Kaja and his father Karel, as young rising star Kate Kalvodova was to take a third place podium finish in the Hobby class with her DEX410v4.

Young Kate Kalvodova found consistent form with her DEX410v4

Jindra Kodad was happy to race his DEX210v2 to a second place podium finish in the 2WD Hobby class, concluding a Team Durango performance that should inspire all young racers for the exciting year ahead.

We send our sincere thanks and congratulations to Kaja, Karel, Kate and Jindra. What a great start to their 2015 race campaign.

National 2WD Short Course Champion Joins Team Durango

Jamie and Tommy Hall have recently set a new standard that will inspire all young  off-road racers. Jamie was recently crowned the 2013 Junior 2WD Short Course Champion, with his younger brother Tommy also finishing high in the season rankings. Both young racers also concluded their 2013 Short Course season by finishing in the top ten of the overall BRCA National series, right next to the adult competitors! This will be the third BRCA title that Jamie has won over as many years.

We are extremely excited to announce that Jamie Hall will now be joining our UK racing team, bringing another champion into the Team Durango family. Tommy Hall will also be joining the team, as we look forward to supporting these two young racers over the next action packed season of racing.

Jamie and Tommy are already a great example of the future of off-road racing, and a quick look into their family heritage shows us that their Mother was a National full-scale dirt oval champion. Their Father was involved in full-scale auto-cross for many years also. The Hall family are definitely ‘Serious About Racing’, and we welcome them to the team.

Novotny Returns With Double Podium – DEX210 & DEX410v3 Clean Sweep

Team Durango young rising star Kaja Novotny has recently taken a double win at the first round of the Mibosport Cup in the Czech Republic. Kaja piloted his DEX210 and DEX410v3 through wet track conditions during qualifying, but found great success by combining his Team Durango vehicles with the engineered racing rubber of dBoots tyres.

Kaja was pleased to see better weather conditions for his finals with dry Astroturf allowing him to dominate every final in both classes. This provided Kaja with an overall TQ and first place in 2WD and 4WD! Kaja put the cherry on his racing cake by also finishing more than one lap ahead of the battling field, again in both 2WD and 4WD buggy classes.

Kaja reported that he was so happy with his Team Durango cars that he found no need to touch his set-up configuration and ran the whole race meeting with exactly what he started with. Testimony to how versatile both the DEX210 and DEX410v3 vehicles are when the weather conditions are in flux.

Kaja continues to reign supreme in his domestic racing calender and we congratulate him for another very powerful performance. We cannot wait to see how he will bring his professional racing skills to the highest level of competition at this year’s European Championships.

Kaja Novotny is clearly ‘Serious About Racing’
